Our providers can advise you on ways to maximize your chances of being pregnant and best practices to keep yourself healthy during conception. We will also inform you of what prenatal care and birth looks like in our practice.
Once a heterosexual couple has attempted pregnancy for six to twelve months, or a lesbian or single woman decides to pursue pregnancy, our providers can start a workup. Basic lab tests to assess ovulation at home, plus semen analysis for male partners, can be ordered. Additional imaging tests such as an ultrasound, which is done in our office, and hysterosalpingogram assessment of fallopian tubes, which is done in other facilities, are also often part of the workup.
Our treatment will go as far as prescribing ovulation-inducing drugs such as Letrozole or Clomid. Our care is individualized based on a person’s gynecologic and medical history, age, and personal desire. Additionally, all our doctors can perform laparoscopy or hysteroscopy, which may be required to diagnose and correct problems discovered along the way. If a patient requires the next steps, we are grateful to be located in Atlanta, which offers a wide range of physicians who practice reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI). We truly have relationships with all of the REI groups in Atlanta and can help you choose the one best for you and maintain a team approach to your care. One of our greatest joys is to deliver a healthy baby to a healthy mom who we have guided through a fertility journey.
